US Ransomware attacks doubled in 3ed quoter of 2020. Healthcare Sector Most Targeted New Check Point research examines the ransomware threat landscape for Q3 2020, noting a 50 percent increase in daily attacks. The healthcare sector is the most targeted globally.

Ransomware comes usually as a phishing email. If computer is outdated, it is possible to exploit it by bypassing security measures and execute malicious software or lead to extraction of passwords stored in local computer browser.
